Our little cabin

Our "cabin in the woods" (with wifi) build

The back story of this Blog.

Back in July 2013 I bought my own little house for the price of what most people would pay for a second hand family car. It had been built in 1967 by Victor, an eccentric old boy in a small French village situated in Normandy France. See the “How it all began” page for further details.

This is my little diary record of the work I shall be doing over the coming months and years on my little house which I affectionately call “My Cabin in the woods (with wifi)”.

It’s basically a single storey pre-fab concrete 6m x 6m building with one main 4m x 4m room, a small 4m x 2m kitchen and 1.5m x 2m washroom off to one side and a vacant storage room with a dirt floor out the back. There’s also a shed like 5m x 2m building on site.

All these rooms will eventually have pages showing the progress and changes as I work on them as I make it my home.

I hope you enjoy this visit to my little bit of the internet.

Thanks for reading.
